Personality: Ryuuma is a somewhat moody and outspoken person. He likes to do things his own way and hates being ordered around by people who think they're superior to him in some way. He believes that if someone wants to prove their superiority they should beat him in a duel instead of blabbering on about ranks and titles. The only people he really respects, are fellow warriors. He has a certain disrespect for Authority figures, as well as the laws set down by the government, seeing them as only guidelines to live by and not actual rules. Though he is stubborn and lazy, he is an honorable and proud warrior who strives to become the greatest swordsman alive. His surprising amount of discipline reveals that he is not as lazy as people often think, often getting himself out of bed at the crack of dawn to practice his swordplay. He is also a man who keeps to his word, never telling someone hes going to do something he doesn't completely intend to do.

Ability: Ryuuma's swordsmanship skills are uncanny. The strength and precision of his strikes actually cause the air displaced by his sword to become a deadly weapon and extends the range of his attacks. He's honed this skill and has obtained the ability to cut objects at a distance. This technique requires a lot of strength, speed and precision and thus makes it very straining on the body, requiring him to train his body daily. The amount of strength and stamina Ryuuma has acquired from this grueling training has given him power beyond that of a normal man which allows him to fight on par with powerful wizards and witches.

History

Ryuuma grew up on an Island off the Southern coast. This Island was the birthplace of a religious group who worshiped Deities known as Kami. There were many Kami that lived on the Island that took many shapes and sizes and all of them were worshiped as Gods. However there were five that were considered superior. Izanami and Izanagi were the Mother and Father of the Island and the other Kami. Ameterasu was the Goddess of the sun who brought light and life to the world. Tsukiyomi was the God of the Moon who shown his light on the people in times of darkness. Often the one the people prayed to when a Plague or another form of disaster strikes the land. Susanoo was the God of Storms and demonstrated the Gods wrath with his mighty thunder bolts. He was known as the Warrior God and was the inspiration for the Islands military force which defended the Island from outsiders.

The Island was invaded time and time again and each time they managed to defeat their enemies. The Doragon family was revered for their incredible skill and were known as the Gods favorites for a time because many believed that the Gods granted them inhuman abilities that no others possessed. It was true that they were stronger than average warriors, however their strength came from within. On the whole Island they were the only ones who possessed any kind of magical potential. However unknown to them, this magic amplified their bodies capabilities allowing them to perform amazing feats. This power however, was far from enough to protect the Island from the fast approaching storm that was inevitably going to reach their Island.

Izanagi, the Father of the Island foresaw the coming storm and gave the people a weapon that would be used in the defense of the Island. This weapon was Hyoujin, a spiritual sword that was empowered by the essence of Ameterasu, Tsukiyomi and Susanoo. Finally the storm had arrived and witches arrived on the Island seeking to conquer. They began a war that would soon put an end to the culture born on this Island. The war lasted for one year, ending with a member of the Doragon family killing the Witches leader as a Samurai wielding Hyoujin held off the Witches Coven. The remaining witches left the Island, and the people celebrated their victory. Izanami, the Mother of the Island rewarded the Doragon with a sword crafted from her own flesh and called it Hakujin. The Doragon family cherished this weapon and passed it on through their generations.

Ryuuma was born in to the fifth generation of the Doragon family and when he turned thirteen his father granted him the divine sword Hakujin. Ryuuma cherished the sword given to him by his family and used it well in defending the Island. On his sixteenth birthday, the storm that had once passed had returned. The Witches from the mainland had returned in greater numbers. They spread across the Island like a tsunami, wreaking havoc as they did so. Ryuuma and his close friend Seiji, the Samurai who was granted possession of Hyoujin for the duration of this war fought the witches as best they could, however Seiji was overwhelmed and he fell in combat. Ryuuma had no time to mourn the death of his slain friend and instead took Hyoujin upon himself to fend off the witch invasion. Unfortunately, he was only one man and he couldn't stop the witches from obliterating every other person on the Island, leaving him as the last. At the age of sixteen, Ryuuma was alone in the world.

Swearing vengeance, Ryuuma left his homeland and traveled to the mainland. He became a renown witch hunter sought after by people wanting to buy his power. With Hyoujin and Hakujin his power was truly immense however he did not undergo the proper training for wielding Hyoujin so his powers have never been able to fully develop. As he traveled the Island, hunting down every witch he could, he began to discover the secrets locked up inside of Hyoujin, the blade that was crafted by the Father of Gods.

Weapons

Hakujin

Hakujin: Was the sword passed on to Ryuuma by his father. Said to be a gift from the God Izanami to the Doragon family as a token of gratitude for keeping their faith in their gods in a time when their religion was on the brink of destruction. This sword was crafted from the flesh of Izanami and is said to be as hard as diamonds and sharp enough to cut through the thickest steel. It is said that if one were to look upon Izanami's body, they would see a scar from when Izanami cut off a piece of her own flesh to craft the sword. This blade has no ability, however it is unbreakable.

Hyoujin

Hyoujin: Is the blade said to have been crafted by the God Izanagi and given to man to be used as a tool to protect the Shinto Religion. Through a series of events, Ryuuma has come in to possession of this blade and is able to wield its power well. This sword allows one to form a spiritual link to "Yomi" the spirit world of the Shinto Religion where the Three gods of the Sky dwell. Through this Link, Ryuuma can tap in to the Gods power. However the power he receives can not exceed the amount of power his body is able to withstand, so the power of the weapon reflects the power of its user, forcing one to grow and not rely solely on the power of the sword, which is why Ryuuma only uses this blade when he really needs to.

-Ameterasu, Goddess of the Sun: When Ryuuma forms a spiritual bond with Ameterasu, he gains the power of the sun, allowing him to manipulate fire through his sword for a short while. The flame of Ameterasu does not discriminate between friend and foe, so Ryuuma must be careful when using this ability, or else he could severely injure his allies. The true advantage of using the Flames of Ameterasu is that they are not natural flames, and because of that they are able to burn magical structures giving him a great advantage over those who use Magic.

-Tsukiyomi, God of the Moon: When Ryuuma forms a spiritual bond with Tsukiyomi, his blade gains what he calls "True Clairty." What this does is grants Ryuuma the ability to slice through Untruth or Illusion. Anything that was created to dull the mind can be cut by this powerful blade, however Ryuuma must be able to face reality in order to properly wield this ability. If his judgment is clouded and his mind is filled with Doubt, he will be unable to use this technique. True Clarity also allows Ryuuma to purify that which is infected by Evil. Basically giving Ryuuma the ability to cure infection and rid the body of poison.

-Susanoo, God of Storm: When Ryuuma forms a bond with Susanoo, he gains the ability to control Lightning, storms greatest weapon. However, due to the intensity of the lightning, Susanoo's power is severely draining and should only be used as a last resort.
